Early Years Curriculum Overviews

At Roseberry Primary School, our Early Years curriculum is carefully designed to provide every child with the strongest possible start to their education. Rooted in our vision of high aspirations for every child, our curriculum nurtures curiosity, builds confidence and establishes the foundations for lifelong learning.

Our Nursery and Reception curriculum is organised around engaging half-termly themes that capture children's interests whilst ensuring full coverage of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Each theme has been carefully sequenced to build knowledge progressively, develop ambitious vocabulary and provide meaningful opportunities for children to explore, question, investigate and create.

Through high-quality teaching, purposeful play and language-rich learning environments, children develop the knowledge, skills and characteristics of effective learning needed to flourish. Learning is underpinned by our commitment to developing confident, resilient and independent learners who are ready for the next stage of their education.
