Child Protection (Safeguarding):
Roseberry Primary School is committed to the development of good practice and sound procedures to ensure that child protection concerns are handled sensitively, professionally and in way which supportive the needs of the child.

As a school, we are committed to:

  • establishing and maintaining an ethos where pupils feel safe and secure, and know that they can talk and be listened to;
  • ensuring that pupils know that there are adults in school who they can approach if they are worried or in difficulty;
  • including, in the curriculum, activities and opportunities which equip pupils with the skills they need to stay safe from abuse;
  • ensuring that every effort will be made to establish effective working relationships with parents and colleagues from other agencies.

 

If you have any concerns about a child, Maggie Fearnley (Head Teacher) is the designated Child Protection Officer. In the absence of Maggie Fearnley, Cathryn McCabe (Deputy Head Teacher) is the deputy designated officer.
