Christmas Jumper Day 2017
On Friday the 15th December 2017 we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day. We all wore our Christmas jumpers to school for the day, collection boxes were put in the entrances of both buildings and Nursery to help raise money for the ‘Save the Children’ charity. The direct link to the charity was also put on the newsletter for people to donate directly to the charity if they wished. As a school we raised £153.53 for the charity.

Send my Friend to School
Send my Friend to School is a Global Campaign for Education. The Global Campaign for Education (GCE) is a global organisation working to ensure quality education for all children. As a school we wanted to join the campaign and raise awareness within our local area. Each year group in school learned about life as a refugee and how some children are not able to go to school because of the circumstances. Each year group completed activities relating to the rights of a child and shared them in a whole school assembly. Each child made a back pack and put in it all of the things they would like a child to have to take to school. We then sent all of the back packs along with a letter written by the children to our local MP Alex Cunningham.
