- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning support across the curriculum

Roseberry Primary School is seeking to appoint a resilient, skilled and committed SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within one of our specialist Nest provisions.
This is a specialist role supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, including trauma-related behaviours and emotional regulation difficulties. The successful candidate will provide consistent, high-quality support to help pupils engage with learning, develop socially and emotionally, and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Support pupils individually and in small groups.
- Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies.
- Use trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches.
- Help create a calm, structured and purposeful environment.
- Work closely with staff, families and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate safeguarding and behaviour records.
This role requires professionalism, emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Has experience working with pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Understands trauma-informed practice and safeguarding.
- Can build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.
- Works effectively as part of a professional team.
Experience within a nurture provision, SEND base or alternative provision would be beneficial.
