Roseberry Partnerships with Parents
At Roseberry Primary School we value and appreciate the important role you have to play in supporting your child and developing a positive attitude to school and learning. We therefore strongly encourage your involvement in school life. Opportunities to be involved in school include:
- Open afternoons – once each half term, parents and carers are invited to an event in school where you can spend time with your child/children completing an activity while having a cup of tea or coffee
- Assemblies – each class holds an assembly twice during the academic year. Parents are encouraged to stay behind afterwards to spend some time looking around their child’s classroom and to see their work
- Parent/Teacher Consultations – this is an opportunity to find out how your child is doing in school. These take part in the Autumn and Spring half terms
- Annual School Report – this is sent home at the end of the summer term and includes details of your child’s progress
- School newsletter – a newsletter is sent out each month including notices for upcoming events, important dates and a summary of events that have taken place
- Curriculum workshop – workshops in early numeracy and phonics take place each half term to support parents with the methods of teaching used in school
- Curriculum – details about what topic is being studied are sent out each half term. Further details, including the topic plan, are available on in the class pages of our website.
- Concerts and Events – we have a variety of events across the school year. Parents are encouraged to attend, watch and join in with them.
